A seasoned business leader and corporate financier in the energy transition sector, Varun is the Founder of Circular Energy. He was previously CEO at INALA, a private equity- backed clean energy group with operations across Africa & the Middle East. Prior to that, Varun spent several years as a project finance and M&A specialist, successfully leading over $1bn in energy & infrastructure transactions globally. A Chartered Accountant with a Master’s degree from Cambridge University, he brings cross-continental experience from the UK, Africa, and Asia.
Younis has over 25 years’ experience within the telecommunications and energy sector, starting his career with Nortels Networks in Sale Engineering based out of UK and the Netherlands and a Telecom Operator Versatel Telecom BV Netherlands in Network design . He has spent 15 years working in the African Markets as a Sales Director in the power conversion industry based out of Nigeria and Dubai for Eltek , Monbat Batteries and Enetek power focusing on DC power solutions.
Sean is a scale up specialist and has over 15 years of experience in strategic operational and financial leadership. He is currently the Chief Financial and Operating Officer at INALA, a renewable energy company. He was previously the General Manager of Zambia’s largest private healthcare group, prior to which he led the finance and operations function for a multi-sector group in Southern Africa. Sean is a Chartered Accountant, and PMP with a Masters in Finance from Cambridge University.
Haydar is a seasoned professional with over 24 years of experience in engineering, sales, and business development, including 11 years in Nigeria. He has held leadership roles, most recently as Managing Director, Solutions Architecture at INALA. Skilled in green energy solutions, strategic business development, and client management, he holds a B.Sc. in Electromechanical Engineering from University of Cape Town.
